The Iris is a flower with a complex personality, with powdery, delicate notes. According to Greek mythology, when Iris, messenger to the gods, came down from Mount Olympus, she left a rainbow trail behind her, symbolising good news. One of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery, it reveals the full extent of its olfactory palette when its roots are used subtly. Its multiple facets add grace and elegance to create a truly exceptional fragrance.
Native to China, Mandarins were first grown in the Mediterranean region in the 19th century. Legend has it that this citrus fruit was named after the colour of the traditional dress of the senior officials of the Chinese empire, the Mandarins. Once expressed, its bark reveals sweet and tangy notes whose freshness is appreciated in head notes.
